I wrote and wrote

Of what benefit is it to write about our emotions as they occur? This question is often asked and the answer is quite simple. As your inner world is ravaged by every day problems, when you write down how you feel in that moment it is an expression and release tool which alleviates some of the stress and makes the big picture clearer.

my thoughts became jumbled
my feelings stormed around
what is this about, I thought?
pen in hand I wrote and wrote
anger
self-pity
sadness
all vying for central position
I threw the notes out when finished
inner peace once more
